2022 Lyons Will Estate Negociant Series Syrah
Négociant is a word used to describe someone who buys their raw materials i.e. grapes and then produces, bottles and markets it under their own label. The Lyons Will Négociant Series is a rare collection of agreements we have made with outstanding growers that make something truly different or special.
Fraymond’s vineyard straddles the northern most boundary of the Macedon Ranges, it is arguably the most arid, and warmest vineyard in our GI. Perfect for outstanding, concentrated, and focused, cool climate Syrah.
Handpicked on the 4th April 2022. The fruit was destemmed, placed in open vats, and cold soaked for 5 days prior to wild fermentation. The fruit saw a total of two weeks on skins. Pressed at dryness to French barriques (20% new, 80% older) for 12 months maturation. Unfined, unfiltered, vegan.
