Wine Ambassador – Trade Sales (Melbourne focus) and Direct to Consumer
Lyons Will Estate is looking for an outstanding wine brand ambassador to help grow our current trade portfolio along with grow our direct to consumer strategy.
This part-time hands-on position is responsible for not only nurturing and developing your own trade portfolio but also growing and expanding on this portfolio through showcasing our latest vintages in a personal and intimate style, creating new trade relationships, and growing and develop your own patch. Managing day-to-day wine orders will be key, along with representing our brand at trade and regional events. Finally you will have the opportunity to help us grow our direct to consumer offering through managing the cellar door on occasion and events.
We will provide immersive training experience, covering everything from winemaking, vineyard management, to cellaring, wine sales, and wine marketing. Our ideal candidate will be completely across the business from top to bottom. You will be a critical part of the team and having a real passion for wine is imperative.
The role is a hybrid role whereby you will be able to work from home, be on the road, and also travel to our winery in the Macedon Ranges, one hour north of the city.

About the role:
- Show wines to trade clients, manage clients, grow wine trade sales through a combination of in-person, over the phone, and direct communication strategies.
- Manage and expand your own trade portfolio.
- Assist with organising and attending trade events.
- Maintain customer records and new business opportunities.
- Manage cellar door at Lyons Will Estate on occasion.
- Support direct to consumer offing through a combination of strategies.
- Assist winemaking team during vintage.
- Provide exceptional customer service and organisation.
- Fantastic wine knowledge and an enthusiasm to share knowledge.
- Your remuneration will comprise a base salary plus commission.
The ideal candidate would have the following:
- High attention to detail with the desire to exceed expectations.
- Immaculate personal presentation.
- Able to work towards set KPIs for wine sales.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to talk about wine in detail.
- Experience in either premium brand sales or wine sales, or both.
- A positive, high tempo, can-do attitude along with the willingness to learn.
- Possess a WSET 1, 2 or 3 (not imperative but training will be provided in the case of none)
- Love everything about Wine!
- Driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.
